Various regions in Greece are organizing ceremonies to honor the October 28 national anniversary.

In the Municipality of Messini, planned events include a doxology at the Metropolitan Holy Church of Saint John the Baptist, a memorial service at the Monument, and a parade of students and associations. Other activities involve the illumination of municipal buildings and religious processions in communities such as Androusa.

In Messolonghi and Agrinio, Metropolitan Damaskinos led commemorations that included a festive doxology at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Spyridon and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Fallen.
