Major Greek performing arts institutions are presenting diverse theatrical productions in late 2026.

The National Opera of Greece is scheduled to participate in the 61st Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki from October 1 to October 26. The program includes four productions: the satirical comic opera ‘Viva la mamma!’, the shadow opera ‘Karagiozis Rigoletto’, the melodramatic adaptation ‘The Murderess’, and the cinematic opera pastiche ‘À Paris tous les deux’.

Additionally, the National Theatre of Greece is set to debut ‘Omonia – A Mythologization’ at the Dipylon Theatre on October 22. This urban thriller uses Athens' Omonia Square as an allegory to explore themes of conspiracy theories and fake news through a blend of black comedy and political satire.
