The Guanajuato Ministry of Health has implemented an extensive vaccination campaign to prevent disease outbreaks across its 46 municipalities. Between January 2025 and July 2026, the state administered more than 2.3 million doses, including pneumococcus, hexavalent, and SRP vaccines.

By August 2026, health authorities reported that 369,381 doses had been administered as part of the basic vaccination scheme for the year, reaching 87 percent of the annual goal. While coverage for the hexavalent vaccine (93 percent) and pneumococcus (92 percent) remains high, Hepatitis B coverage was noted as the lowest at 66 percent.
