The 140th Canton Fair, marking its 70th anniversary, is currently underway in Guangzhou, running from October 15 through November 4, 2026. The event covers 1.55 million square metres and features approximately 30,000 enterprises across three phases.

Phase 1, which focuses on advanced manufacturing, has concluded its in-person exhibition. This phase covered 520,000 square meters and featured over 12,000 participating enterprises in sectors such as electronics, industrial automation, and new energy vehicles. The phase saw a record turnout of 189,000 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions, marking a 13.3 percent increase compared to the previous session.

Innovation and sustainability remain central themes. Approximately 64 percent of exhibitors are utilizing artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, while green products reached a record share of 26 percent of all exhibits. This follows earlier emphasis on low-carbon solutions in sectors like residential PV systems and electric mobility.

The fair is divided into three phases. Following the conclusion of the ‘Advanced Manufacturing’ theme, the upcoming second phase, themed ‘Quality Home Life,’ will focus on building materials, furniture, and household items.
