The renovation of the Águeda Municipal Market in Portugal reached its final stages in late September 2026. At that time, Jorge Almeida, President of the Águeda Municipal Council, indicated the project was focusing on technical connections, commercial space preparation, and the relocation of operators from temporary facilities.

Following the completion of extensive renovation works, the market officially reopened to the public on October 23, 2026. The modernization project aimed to improve conditions for merchants and consumer comfort. In addition to traditional commerce, the facility is planned to host new services, such as the Tax Authority on the first floor. A formal inauguration ceremony is set for November 6.
