In late September 2026, Ochoa fronted a campaign for the crypto and iGaming platform BC. GAME, emphasizing his due diligence regarding the platform’s SEGOB permit and legal standing in Mexico. Following his retirement after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ochoa is set to be honored during a friendly match between Mexico and Chile at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on October 6. The ceremony, titled ‘Thank You, Memo!’, is organized by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) and MexTour to recognize his two-decade career and 154 international appearances. Planned elements of the tribute include fan appreciation videos and the lighting of the stadium’s Olympic torch, referencing Ochoa’s bronze medal win at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. There are reports suggesting the former goalkeeper may make a brief appearance on the pitch. The match also serves as an early fixture for Rafael Márquez in his role as head coach of the Mexican national team. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-01: Guillermo Ochoa to receive career tribute in Los Angeles Guillermo Ochoa will receive a career tribute titled “Thank You, Memo!” during the Mexico vs. Chile friendly at Los Angeles' Memorial Coliseum on October 6. 10 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/guillermo-ochoa-to-be-honored-in-los-angeles-during-mexico-vs-chile-match ### 2026-09-25: Guillermo Ochoa fronts BC.
