Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced the establishment of approximately 136 ‘Gram Haats’ across bus stations in 27 districts to provide marketplaces for handicrafts and food products. To further support rural livelihoods, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Rajkot between the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Limited, the Cooperation Department, and the Animal Husbandry Department. This agreement seeks to integrate women’s self-help groups with the state’s dairy cooperative network, aiming to transform village-level milk producers into organized dairy entrepreneurs. Participants are to receive financial support, including institutional credit and loans, alongside technical services such as vaccinations and breed improvement.
