A series of firearm-related incidents has occurred within the Barcelona metropolitan area. On August 13, gunshots were reported at a residence in the Can Peguera area of the Nou Barris district. While no injuries were reported, Mossos d’Esquadra officers found several shell casings at the scene. Investigators considered whether the shooting was an “act of intimidation related to a clan conflict.”

On August 15, two additional shootings were reported. The first occurred in the Bon Pastor neighborhood of the Sant Andreu district, where police recovered eleven shell casings. Shortly after, a second incident took place on Madrid Avenue in Terrassa, where occupants of a vehicle reportedly opened fire indiscriminately at a group of people. While no victims were initially found at the Terrassa scene, medical staff later confirmed the arrival of a male victim with a gunshot wound. Mossos d’Esquadra have launched investigations into both events.
