In early September, a 23-year-old man was shot and killed in the Faourette district of Toulouse. The victim, who was known to police and judicial services, was struck by multiple bullets near a nursery school. Authorities opened a homicide investigation, considering organized crime as a potential factor after a vehicle used in the attack was found burned.

By early October, Toulouse reported an escalation in armed violence and multiple shooting incidents across various southern districts. These incidents included a shooter on a scooter firing at a man in Empalot and another shooting in the Reynerie sector where a man was hit in the leg. The period of violence also involved confrontations between patrolling officers and groups of individuals in the Bellefontaine area.
