Hansa Rostock has undergone a period of instability regarding its coaching and defensive performance in the 3. Liga.

Initially, the club operated without a permanent head coach, relying on an interim duo consisting of Yannic Thiel and Adam Susac. During this period, the team struggled with a vulnerable defense that had conceded 14 goals, a situation captain Marco Schuster attributed to a lack of intensity and emotion on the pitch.

Following these challenges, the club appointed André Breitenreiter to replace Daniel Brinkmann. Breitenreiter’s tenure began with a 3-2 victory against VfB Stuttgart II and a 1-1 draw against Rot-Weiss Essen, as the club seeks to secure promotion to the 2. Bundesliga.
