England secured a 2-0 victory against the Czech Republic in their second UEFA Nations League Group A3 match in Prague, following a previous 3-2 loss to Spain. Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane provided the goals in the match, which saw the Czech Republic reduced to ten men early in the first half. This result left England in second place in the group, level with Croatia.

Following a subsequent 2-3 defeat to Spain, England manager Thomas Tuchel addressed concerns regarding player workloads and club interests. Tuchel stated that the interests of the national team will take priority over Premier League club requests to manage player minutes during international breaks. While acknowledging that certain players like Declan Rice require individual management, he emphasized that he will not allow players to reduce intensity or skip matches solely for load management.

Tuchel also discussed the long-term challenge of replacing Harry Kane, whom he described as a “complete package” and a unique leader. While the coaching staff is exploring options such as utilizing Jude Bellingham in a number nine role, Tuchel admitted that finding a direct successor will be difficult and a permanent solution may not arrive for many years.
