The HBO and Sky TV co-production ‘War’ is an eight-episode legal drama series created, written, and produced by George Kay. The narrative centers on the high-stakes divorce between tech billionaire Morgan Henderson, portrayed by Dominic West, and actress Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller.

Set among the legal elite in London, the series depicts a fierce conflict between two rival law firms: the established Cathcarts & Sons, led by Beatrice Ubosi and St. John Smallwood, and the upstart Taylor & Byrne, led by Nicholas Taylor and Serena Byrne. The plot is set in motion when Carla uses a honeytrap to catch Morgan in an act of infidelity, resulting in a public legal battle. The series explores themes of wealth, infidelity, ambition, betrayal, and the “ethical costs of professional success” as the characters navigate prenuptial agreements and the fight for control over Henderson’s tech fortune.

Following its premiere on October 1, 2026, the series became available on streaming platforms including Sky, WOW, and RTL+. In discussions regarding the production, Dominic West noted that legal battles in wealthy circles often escalate into ‘war’ because of aggressive legal tactics and significant financial resources, observing that many conflicts arise when individuals feel unheard.

Production for a second season has already commenced. This upcoming season is expected to focus on a defamation lawsuit and is slated to feature Marisa Tomei.
