The EMERGENCY organization and the Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases in Rome have entered into a memorandum of understanding to establish a new proximity medicine clinic. 

Located within the Spallanzani Institute, the facility is intended to serve vulnerable populations who encounter linguistic, social, or administrative barriers to healthcare. The clinic will be staffed by doctors, nurses, and cultural mediators to provide general medicine, nursing assistance, and health education. 

The partnership aims to create integrated care pathways: EMERGENCY can refer patients with suspected infectious diseases to the Institute, while the Spallanzani Institute can direct patients with complex social or administrative needs to the new clinic.
