The attack resulted in 21 injuries, including one worker who reported vomiting blood, and forced a multi-hour lockdown of the terminal. Following the gas exposure, the group targeted the victims at a taxi forecourt to steal their suitcases.

Judge Kwame Inyundo described the defendants' actions as involving “serious and sustained” and “serious and prolonged violence,” noting a “particular and determined interest” in the victims' luggage.
