German singer Helene Fischer has announced several upcoming projects. On October 18, she revealed that her new studio album, titled ‘WIR’, is scheduled for release on December 4. Describing the album as a mix of celebratory and emotional tracks, she noted the title represents “closeness, warmth, and a sense of belonging.” She also suggested the project might include some “provocative” elements. This marks her first Schlager studio album since 2021.

Following this, it was announced that Fischer will return to television with ‘Die Helene Fischer Show’ on December 25. After a one-year hiatus following the birth of her second daughter, the Christmas production will be recorded on October 30 and 31 at Messe Düsseldorf. The broadcast, a collaboration between ZDF, ORF, and SRF, is expected to feature various musical guests and large-scale staging.

While initial guest confirmations included Nina Chuba, Roland Kaiser, Kerstin Ott, Wincent Weiss, Giovanni Zarrella, Der Graf, and comedian Carolin Kebekus, subsequent updates have expanded the lineup. The roster now includes international performers such as Ronan Keating, Josh Groban, and classical pianist Lang Lang, as well as Melissa Naschenweng, Die Prinzen, Hans Klok, and Reinhold Beckmann. The production is also set to feature Cirque du Soleil and the Michael Jackson Musical. ZDF show editor Oliver Heidemann has described the return as ‘the great Christmas gift for the TV audience’.
