Hennessey Special Vehicles introduced the Blackbird, a new hypercar inspired by the SR-71 spy plane. Designed as an analog tribute, the vehicle features a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V-8 engine and a six-speed manual transmission, aiming for a top speed of 220 mph.

Following its debut, Hennessey announced that all 71 limited-edition units have sold out. While 60 units were reserved privately, the remaining 11 units were claimed within four hours of the public debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. 

Marketed as a ‘Touring Hypercar,’ the model utilizes a ‘Zero Screens’ philosophy, opting for analog tachometers and physical controls over digital interfaces. The vehicle is built on a carbon fiber monocoque and is expected to enter production in Texas between 2029 and 2030.
