Restoration efforts at the Sé de Silves in Portugal have reached a major milestone following the completion of the primary phase on August 31. Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, this initial stage involved the conservation of stone, facades, roofs, and stained glass panels.

Subsequent work has shifted toward improving accessibility for those with reduced mobility. This includes the creation of a new lateral entrance at the transept, repairs to the baptistery, and improvements to tower access and lighting.

Building on these conservation efforts, the Municipality of Silves organized cultural events for European Heritage Days in late September. These activities focused on local monument conservation and history, featuring lectures and tours regarding the Silves Cathedral, the Bell Tower, the Ponte Velha, and the Matriz Church of São Bartolomeu de Messines.
