Heritage railway services in Argentina and Spain are expanding seasonal offerings to meet tourist demand. In Argentina, the La Trochita railway in Esquel is preparing to increase service frequency by introducing a second locomotive, supported by local municipality track repairs. 

Following these expansion plans, the Chubut Ministry of Production announced a specific October schedule for the ‘La Trochita’ Patagonian Express. The centenarian railway has scheduled at least 20 departures for the month, connecting Esquel with Nahuelpan, with the possibility of additional trips based on ticket demand.

In Spain, the Tren de la Fresa is set to resume its autumn season from October 3 to November 8, operating 13 trips between Madrid and Aranjuez using historical carriages. The Spanish service will feature themed itineraries, including musical tours and family activities.
