Developments involving video game creator Hideo Kojima and his associated intellectual properties have emerged across the gaming and film industries.

Regarding his gaming legacy, voice actor Akio Otsuka expressed hope for new Metal Gear installments, though he noted a preference for projects involving Kojima. Concurrently, a fan-led preservation effort successfully decompiled the PlayStation 4 executable for P.T., reconstructing the playable teaser for the cancelled Silent Hills as a native PC application. Kojima reportedly shared coverage of this project on X.

In a shift toward film, Kojima teased an upcoming cameo in a ‘big’ live-action movie. While he previously provided voice work for the Japanese version of Zootopia 2, he indicated that this new, undisclosed project will involve him appearing on camera.
