Various historical and cultural festivals are scheduled to take place across France in late 2026.

In September, the Lude Renaissance event in Sarthe will feature medieval music, puppet shows, and theatrical conferences. Concurrently, the 21st European Renaissance Music Festival at Château du Clos Lucé will present Italian music in conjunction with a Leonardo da Vinci exhibition.

In October, festivities will shift toward medieval and ancient history. The Semaine Cévenole at Fort Vauban will include military encampments, falconry, and workshops focused on the Plantagenet dynasty. Additionally, the ‘Terre d’Orient’ festivities at the Asnapio archaeological park will highlight the Silk Road and Hospitaller Orders through historical demonstrations, archery, and period-costume displays.
