In late September 2026, the Araci Borges Dias Martins Municipal Historical Archive in Guarulhos announced the “Memórias da Educação” exhibition. Scheduled to run through October 30, the free event utilizes photographs and historical documents to trace the municipality’s educational history and offers guided tours for the public.

By October 20, during Archivist Day, attention shifted to the broader role of archival professionals in Brazil. Key institutional efforts were highlighted, including the Brazilian Senate’s ‘Arquivo S’ project, which converts historical parliamentary records into accessible multimedia formats. Additionally, the Public Archive of the State of Ceará (APEC) was noted for its management of state collections, including documents related to the 64/68 Amnesty and various government secretariats, to safeguard the state’s political and social history.
