Hitachi, Ltd. completed the divestment of its entire stake in Hitachi Construction Machinery by August 2026, reducing its ownership from 9.98% to 0%. 

Following this divestment, Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) initiated a restructuring of its dealer network in Northwest and Central West Africa. Under this new arrangement, SMT will end its role as an authorized dealer at the end of the year. 

Machinery Distribution in Africa (MDA) has been appointed to manage sales and technical services for several countries, including the Republic of Congo, Gabon, and Cameroon. Meanwhile, Movicortes will expand its territory to include nations such as Morocco, Senegal, and Guinea. HCME also plans to establish a direct presence in Morocco and Mauritania to support the mining sector.
