Authorities in Mato Grosso have arrested a 23-year-old suspect in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Felipe Alvyn Ruzescki de Sá. The victim had been missing since September 10.

Investigations by the Specialized Robbery and Theft Station (Derf) suggest the victim was targeted by members of the Comando Vermelho criminal faction. The suspect allegedly participated in the execution and the concealment of the body, which was found among tires and set on fire.

After attempting to destroy his mobile phone to prevent evidence recovery, the suspect confessed to the crime and led officers to the victim’s charred remains.
