In Rio Branco, authorities are investigating the death of Francisco Jerônimo do Nascimento, 39, who was found dead in the Rosalinda neighborhood. The victim, who was under electronic monitoring via an ankle bracelet, was reportedly approached by two hooded men. 

According to Military Police, the suspects tied the victim’s hands and moved him to a poorly lit area before attacking him with knives. The wounds were concentrated on his neck, face, and abdomen. While local residents suggested the victim was suspected of involvement in thefts and that the killing might have been ordered by a criminal organization, no suspects have been apprehended. The Civil Police’s Pronto Emprego team is handling the initial investigation.
