Authorities in Quintana Roo have detained four individuals in connection with recent homicides in Tulum. Attorney General Raciel López Salazar confirmed that among those held are a Canadian national and a 17-year-old, who are being investigated for the shooting death of taxi driver Manuel Luciano. 

A fourth individual was detained following a separate investigation into a different killing that occurred earlier in the month. These arrests follow a series of violent events in the region, including a shooting in the downtown area and the discovery of a body on the road to Cobá.
