Halloween festivities in Hong Kong began with a focus on themed dining and seasonal hospitality. Hotels and restaurants, such as Park Hotel Hong Kong and Nina Hotel Kowloon East, offered specialized menus featuring themed dishes like ‘eyeball pappardelle’ and ‘skull pork rib platters’.

As the season progressed, celebrations expanded into large-scale public events and street activities. Significant crowds gathered in Lan Kwai Fong for costume-based DJ parties, leading to road closures on Des Voeux Road Central and bus diversions. In Tsim Sha Tsui, community-focused events like ‘TSTEast Halloween Beats’ provided family carnivals and cosplay activities, contributing to increased foot traffic for local merchants.
