A viewership competition emerged between TVB and HOY TV as both stations scheduled new sitcoms for the 8:00 PM prime-time slot. TVB sought to reinforce its position with the series ‘Come Home Love: Three Generations of Sweetness’, featuring veteran actors Fan Yi-man and Au Sui-wai.

HOY TV countered with the premiere of ‘Your Security, Li Bo-on’, directed by Ho Chak-tin. Following its debut, the HOY TV production achieved high viewership, reaching a peak of 9.4 points. The series stars Lo Sung-yan and Lee Sheung-ching. While the show saw strong initial numbers, director Ho Jeuk-tin stated he does not focus on direct viewership comparisons with TVB’s programming.
