HoYoverse has released the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 update, ‘To Roll the Stars in Astropolis’, on August 26, 2026. The update transitions the narrative to the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC) headquarters in Astropolis, where players seek aid for Planarcadia following the defeat of Lord Ravager Asat Pramad. The story introduces characters such as Aventurine and the Ten Stonehearts member, Sugilite.

The patch introduces the limited five-star character Robin • Summeretto (Wind, Path of Remembrance), accompanied by a character PV titled ‘Chasing the Wind’. Robin • Summeretto provides team buffs and energy regeneration, making her particularly effective in Remembrance-focused or Follow-Up Attack team compositions. Other featured 5-star characters include Aventurine • Waveflair (Quantum, Path of Elation), Hyacine, and Ashveil.

Gameplay additions include new Trailblaze Quests, the ‘Stellar Chip’ event, and a racing event in Thousand Star City. The update expands the ‘Divergent Universe’ via the ‘Paradise Chronicles’ and ‘Garden of Recollection’ modes with new mechanics and rewards. 

Endgame modes are being refreshed, including the commencement of the Anomaly Arbitration cycle and the scheduled reset of Apocalyptic Shadow on August 31, 2026. Players can also access Pure Fiction to earn ‘Stellar Jade’ rewards. Additionally, a login bonus event offers up to 10 free Star Rail Special Tickets. 

A crossover collaboration with Zenless Zone Zero is scheduled for Winter 2026. Due to the five-week duration of this version, the Memory of Chaos mode will not refresh during this cycle.
