László Krasznahorkai, the 2025 Nobel Prize in Literature laureate, has received multiple honors in Hungary.

Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) awarded the author an honorary doctorate, a title proposed by the Faculty of Humanities and approved by the university senate. During the ceremony, Rector Lénárd Darázs noted Krasznahorkai’s contribution to universal culture, while Dean Dávid Bartus highlighted the author’s capacity to merge ethics and aesthetics.
