HORI and Hino Motors have announced a collaboration to develop professional-grade driving simulators. The product line includes the ‘JAPAN TRUCK DRIVING SIMULATOR’ for heavy vehicles and the ‘JAPAN DRIVER TRAINING SIMULATOR’ for standard passenger cars. 

These systems are designed to provide realistic training for the automotive transport sector, specifically to assist the growing number of foreign skilled workers in Japan. The simulators feature three-screen setups to replicate cockpits, force feedback, and multi-language support. To ensure accuracy, Hino Motors provided vehicle data and engine sound sampling, with curriculum supervision from Hanyu Motor School and the startup Tetra Shift. The simulators are scheduled to be showcased at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
