Hoshino Resorts has announced plans to open ‘Kai Ureshino’, a new luxury ryokan in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, scheduled for summer 2027. This project marks the company’s first expansion into the region.

The facility will focus on a ‘skin-beautifying spa wellness’ concept, utilizing local spring waters known for their skin-nourishing properties. The inn will feature a specialized spa treatment facility called ‘Bihada Goya’ and 28 maisonette-style guest rooms, each equipped with private open-air baths and courtyard gardens.

Designed by Kodai Architects, the interior will incorporate local elements such as artwork inspired by the Ariake Sea and fittings infused with Ureshino tea leaves. While initial estimates suggested nightly pricing between 40,000 and 60,000 yen, reservations are expected to open in the spring of 2027.
