The Hotel de la Poste, a historic establishment in Cortina d’Ampezzo founded in 1804, has undergone its first change in ownership in over 200 years. Cortina Holding, controlled by Alberto Vacchi’s family holding ALVA, acquired 100% of the property from the Manaigo and Esposito families.

The new owners intend to perform a radical redevelopment to reposition the four-star property as a five-star luxury hotel. The renovation plan includes reducing the room count from 73 to approximately 55 to accommodate larger guest rooms and luxury suites. Additional planned upgrades involve adding two restaurants, a spa, and dedicated event spaces, alongside the restoration of the historic Bar del Posta. The hotel will remain open to the public during the period preceding the commencement of renovation works.
