HTC has expanded its artificial intelligence hardware offerings with the introduction of two distinct consumer devices.

The first, the HTC VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses, focuses on wearable utility. These glasses utilize the VIVE AI system to provide real-time text and speech translation in more than 90 languages. The hardware includes ZEISS lenses, a 12 MP camera for 3K video recording, and local encryption for privacy. Unlike traditional augmented reality headsets, these glasses prioritize audio communication and practical tasks such as managing smartphone notifications.

The second device, the Vivee, is a compact, egg-shaped AI digital companion. Designed as a portable personal assistant, it features an OLED screen that displays animated facial expressions reacting to user interaction. The Vivee offers AI-driven conversation, reminders, and meditation tools. To ensure privacy, the device lacks a camera and includes a physical mute switch for its microphone and speaker. It is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada.
