The FreeBuds 7 is powered by a proprietary third-generation audio AI chip featuring a dual DSP and an NPU, which doubles previous processing power to achieve a noise cancellation latency of 8 microseconds. 

Technical specifications for the FreeBuds 7 include an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, a frequency range of 14 Hz to 48 kHz, and support for LDAC and L2HC codecs. The earbuds provide up to 8.5 hours of playback on a single charge, with a total battery life of 42 hours including the case. The retail price is set at $140.

In the broader market, Xiaomi continues to develop its Buds 6, which utilize a 24-karat gold-plated membrane and optimizations from the Harman Golden Ear Team.
