In Sarajevo, staff at the Nafija Sarajlić Elementary School have initiated a humanitarian fundraising campaign to assist teacher Ermin Uzeirbegović with his medical expenses. 

Uzeirbegović is battling advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has metastasized to his lymph nodes and bones. Due to an EGFR gene mutation, medical professionals have indicated that targeted oncological therapy with osimertinib is necessary. Because this treatment must be self-funded, the school is seeking donations from colleagues, educational institutions, and the public to cover medication, radiological tests, and other related costs. A charity event, ‘Večer za Ermina’, was organized to support the initiative.
