The adoption of humanoid forms is driven by their ability to utilize existing human-centric infrastructure, such as hallways and tools, without requiring costly facility redesigns. Beyond industry, humanoid technology is appearing in public spaces, such as in Guadalajara, Mexico, where robots have been observed performing urban tasks.

The industrial landscape is further evolving through the integration of general-purpose humanoid robots and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). While humanoids utilize high-torque actuators and balance algorithms to navigate stairs and manipulate tools, AMRs are transforming logistics using LiDAR and SLAM algorithms. Unlike older automated guided vehicles, these newer systems can operate safely alongside human personnel in shared workspaces without the need for floor magnets or wires.
