Suzhou-based technology company Zeroth has introduced Bridge, an 88-centimeter tall, 13-kilogram humanoid robot described as the “world’s first AI-native embodied robot.” The hardware features bipedal walking, obstacle avoidance, and two-finger grippers. To support the hardware, Zeroth launched the OpenBridge ecosystem, an open-source platform featuring a “Skill Hub” for developers to distribute and monetize capabilities, alongside various SDKs and APIs.

This development occurs as the humanoid robotics sector sees diverging commercial strategies. While Zeroth focuses on an open-source, collaborative model for desktop or individual workspace use, Tesla has announced plans to begin selling its proprietary Optimus humanoid robot to the public by the end of 2027.
