Various regions in Hungary are implementing public transport service changes due to scheduled maintenance and reconstruction works.

In the railway sector, MÁV announced disruptions affecting several lines. Between August 27 and 30, track maintenance between Vác and Verőce will impact Z70 and S70 services, necessitating replacement buses between Vác and Szob. Further maintenance on the Győr–Sopron line from September 11 to 22 will require replacement buses between Győr and Csorna, affecting several InterCity services and increasing travel times for passengers heading toward Sopron, Szombathely, Szentgotthárd, or Zalaegerszeg.

Additionally, MÁV has announced significant disruptions between Szeged and Szatymaz caused by a damaged switch and a previously stalled freight train. Replacement buses will operate for several days in place of Napfény IC trains, running primarily between Szeged and Kiskundorozsma or Szeged and Szatymaz. On September 7, a Napfény InterCity traveling from Budapest Nyugati toward Szeged was delayed at Kőbánya-Kispest due to a malfunction, prompting the deployment of replacement buses from Kecskemét, Kiskunfélegyháza, and Kistele. Passenger trains between Szeged and Békéscsaba are currently operating only between Szeged-Rókus and Békéscsaba, with some Napfény IC services stopping at Kiskundorozsma to facilitate transfers.

In urban areas, Budapest's BKK is deploying replacement buses between Széll Kálmán tér and Nyugati pályaudvar, with tram lines 4 and 6 operating on shortened routes. In Szeged, tram track reconstruction on the 3F line is scheduled from September 1 through October 16. Construction at a road-rail crossing near Kálvária sugárút, between the Szeged-Rendező and Szeged-Rókus stations, is causing significant traffic congestion and driver confusion regarding detour signage.
