The 2026/27 season of the Hungarian volleyball Extraliga has commenced for both men and women.

In the women’s TippmixPro Extraliga, nine teams are competing. Defending champion Vasas SC, led by new head coach Luca Bucaioni, seeks a sixth consecutive title. Békéscsaba enters the season with a restructured roster featuring both domestic and international players.

The men’s TippmixPro Extraliga has launched with a reduced field of six teams. This downsizing was implemented by the Hungarian Volleyball Association to mitigate the competitive gap between top-tier and bottom-tier teams. While Kaposvár enters as the defending champion, other teams such as DEAC and MEAFC joined the top flight following the relegation of Kazincbarcika and MAFC due to financial difficulties.
