The 133rd edition of the Hurlingham Open, the first stage of the 2026 Argentine Polo Triple Crown, commenced in September 2026. The tournament features eight elite teams divided into two zones, utilizing a double knock-out system with quarterfinals held at the Argentine Polo Association fields in Pilar.

In the opening match, the La Natividad-La Dolfina team secured a 26-3 victory over La Aguada. The winning team debuted a new jersey design featuring white, green, and blue filigree, which captain Adolfo Cambiaso stated was inspired by the Argentine national football team’s kit.

Following weather forecasts that prompted semifinal matches to be moved forward to Friday and Saturday, the finalists have been determined. La Natividad La Dolfina secured their place in the final after defeating Las Monjitas, highlighted by performances from Poroto Cambiaso and the Cambiaso-Castagnola duo. In the second semifinal, La Hache Polo Team advanced by defeating Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú with a narrow 13-12 victory, overcoming a deficit in the final stages.

Due to further rain forecasts, the championship match between La Natividad La Dolfina and La Hache has been rescheduled and is now set to take place on Sunday, October 4.
