To facilitate the Telangana government’s H-CITI infrastructure project, Hyderabad traffic police implemented a one-way traffic system around KBR Park. The project involves constructing 14 total structures—seven multi-level steel flyovers and seven directional underpasses—to reduce bottlenecks between the core city and the IT corridor. Recent estimates place the project cost at approximately Rs 1,300 crore, with traffic restrictions expected to remain in place for about 1.5 years.

Following the implementation of the clockwise one-way system, the five-kilometer KBR Park road experienced initial congestion and commuter confusion. However, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar inspected the arrangements and noted that while early driving patterns were erratic, traffic movement has since stabilized and become smoother. To manage the flow, authorities are utilizing drones and control room monitoring, and have installed clear signboards at major junctions such as Agrasen, Film Nagar, and Jubilee Checkpost.

To accommodate the new flow, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) adjusted several bus routes, including numbers 47L, 10H, 222A, and 127K. Alongside management measures, enforcement drives were conducted to improve road safety. These initiatives resulted in 1,015 cases being booked for obstructing free-left turns and 334 cases involving minors operating vehicles. Officials continue to urge motorists to maintain lane discipline and have warned parents against allowing underage individuals to drive.
