# Hydrocarbon production developments in Peru

Energy companies are advancing hydrocarbon exploitation projects in Peru. Colombian Green Energy has signed a 30-year license agreement with Perupetro for Lote 206 in Talara. The mandatory work program for the first decade includes reconditioning 81 wells, drilling 40 development wells, and one exploratory well to maximize reservoir performance.

In the Piura region, Latin America Energy & Technology Corporation (LAET) is planning production increases in Lots VI and 207. LAET reported that Lot VI has accumulated 190,701 barrels of oil since production began in May 2026. For Lot 207, the company intends to perform 350 interventions, including well reconditioning and drilling, with drilling activities projected to start in 2028.
