Hyundai has marked several milestones across different markets. In Serbia, the company celebrated 35 years of operations, noting that it has delivered more than 40,000 vehicles since its first presentation at the Belgrade Auto Show in 1991.

In South Korea, Hyundai Motor surpassed 50,000 cumulative sales of hydrogen electric vehicles (FCEVs), a milestone reached eight years after the 2018 launch of the Nexo model. The hydrogen sector in South Korea currently supports approximately 3,000 companies and 37,000 employees. 

However, the hydrogen market in South Korea faces challenges due to a mismatch between central government funding and local government budget allocations. This funding gap has delayed vehicle distribution for both passenger and commercial vehicles and has contributed to a 23% reduction in the proposed 2027 hydrogen vehicle subsidy budget. Furthermore, the expansion of charging infrastructure is reportedly behind schedule.
