Hyundai Motor Company and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have initiated the ‘Hyundai-KOICA NextGen’ project in Accra, Ghana. This five-year program, spanning from 2026 to 2030, is designed to improve automotive vocational training and support youth employment in West Africa.

With a budget of approximately $3.84 million, the initiative includes the construction of two technical education and training centers, which are expected to be operational by 2027. The curriculum will integrate maintenance technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles with traditional internal combustion engine training. In collaboration with Plan International Korea and Plan International Ghana, the project will offer scholarships, internships, and job placement assistance, with the potential for future expansion to other countries.
