Hyundai Rotem has completed the development of an armored medical evacuation vehicle. The project, overseen by South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), utilized domestic technology over a two-year period.

Built on a wheeled command vehicle platform, the armored ambulance is designed to transport wounded personnel from high-risk frontlines to rear medical facilities. The vehicle features high ceilings to accommodate up to six walking patients or four stretcher patients with two medical staff. It is equipped with medical systems such as oxygen supply, defibrillators, and patient monitoring, alongside a positive pressure system to ensure safety in chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) environments.
