Entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives are expanding across the Iberian Peninsula through educational programs, infrastructure development, and regional support systems.

In Spain, efforts in Alcobendas involve university students engaging with the startup ecosystem through sessions on financing and innovation. In Alquife, the Centro Andaluz de Emprendimiento (CADE) has facilitated the creation of 113 companies and generated 116 jobs since 2022. Recent developments in Spain include the announcement of the Terreta Emprende 2026 event in Alicante, scheduled for October 28 at the Alicante Science Park, and the confirmation of dates for the Startup OLÉ event in Salamanca following its thirteenth edition, which drew over 5,000 attendees.

In Portugal, Startup Alcobaça continues to support business structuring, recently holding its second Bootcamp where top participants received prizes ranging from 250 to 1,000 euros. The organization is also set to open a new coworking space at the Alcobaça Business Park on October 12, a partnership with Startup Leiria intended to connect entrepreneurs with the local business fabric. Additionally, in Faro, the University of Algarve hosted a presentation by authors Joaquim Nascimento and Joaquim Costa titled ‘How to use AI to create a Startup in 30 days’, focusing on using artificial intelligence as a decision-making tool for aspiring founders.
