ICEYE, a Finnish-Polish Earth observation company, continues to expand its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) microsatellite constellation and global operational footprint.

Following the launch of the ICEYE-X62 spacecraft on November 28, 2025, from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the company’s fleet has grown to 39 satellites. These spacecraft utilize phased-array radar antennas to provide high-resolution imagery through cloud cover, smoke, rain, and darkness, with the capability to revisit specific locations as frequently as every six hours.

To strengthen its international presence, ICEYE has established new local entities in India, the Netherlands, and South Korea. In New Delhi, ICEYE India aims to support sovereign intelligence capabilities and aligns with India’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ self-reliance goals through planned local manufacturing and engineering hubs. Simultaneously, the company has launched ICEYE Netherlands, headquartered in Amsterdam, to function as a technology hub within the Netherlands Defence Technological Industrial Base (NLDTIB). Furthering its expansion, ICEYE Korea was established in Seoul to serve defense and intelligence sectors with advanced reconnaissance, observation, and surveillance (ISR) capabilities.

Expanding its utility in environmental monitoring, ICEYE has partnered with The Water Institute to integrate the predictive flood intelligence platform FloodID into its operations. This integration combines machine learning, physics-based hydrologic modeling, and Earth observation data to forecast flood evolution from onset to recession. The system is designed to provide intelligence for the insurance and reinsurance sectors, offering the ability to monitor portfolio accumulation up to 96 hours before an event and providing near real-time data on water depth and building-level damage during active floods.
