IKEA is expanding its presence in Poland through the deployment of compact store formats. In Kielce, the retailer is set to occupy over 3,300 square meters at Galeria Echo, replacing a Carrefour hypermarket that is closing as part of a broader operational transformation. 

Additionally, IKEA will open a new compact outlet in Białystok on November 12 within the Zielone Wzgórze shopping mall. This location, situated inside an existing Carrefour hypermarket, will cover more than 3,600 square meters and offer approximately 2,000 products, including home accessories, interior design services, and a bistro. This follows a similar store opening in Bielsko-Biała in 2025, as the company seeks to bring its brand to urban areas where large-scale warehouses are not feasible.
