Developments: 2. Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso sustained a suspected hamstring injury during a Premiership match against the Newcastle Red Bulls. Following the incident, director of rugby Rob Baxter indicated the injury did not appear to be “catastrophic” and was likely due to muscle overloading. Subsequent medical scans confirmed that Feyi-Waboso would miss the upcoming Champions Cup match against Toulouse. However, the club expressed optimism that the injury is not long-term, with the goal of having him return for a Premiership fixture against the Bristol Bears on October 24, ahead of his potential involvement in England’s November international matches. Medical scans revealed no significant damage, and the 23-year-old has performed well during testing. National team physios have also assessed the centrally contracted England player to ensure his availability for the autumn international campaign, which begins November 8 against Australia. His absence leaves the Exeter winger roster depleted, as the club is already without Campbell Ridl, Olly Woodburn, and Paul Brown-Bampoe. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Immanuel Feyi-Waboso to miss Exeter Chiefs Champions Cup match against Toulouse Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will miss the Champions Cup trip to Toulouse due to a hamstring injury, though club officials are optimistic about a quick recovery for upcoming fixtures. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/immanuel-feyi-waboso-to-miss-exeter-champions-cup-match ### 2026-10-12: Immanuel Feyi-Waboso to undergo scan for hamstring injury Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will undergo a scan for a suspected hamstring injury sustained during a Premiership match against Newcastle Red Bulls. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/immanuel-feyi-waboso-to-undergo-scan-for-hamstring-injury --- Cite as: Immanuel Feyi-Waboso hamstring injury.
