The inaugural Tour of Armenia, a UCI Europe Tour 2.2 classification event, is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 13, 2026. Organized by the Armenian government, the Sports Management Center, and the Armenian Cycling Federation with technical support from RCS Sports and Events DMCC, the race will cover approximately 568 to 587 kilometers with over 5,000 meters of elevation gain.

Starting in Gavar and concluding in Yerevan (Erevan), the route passes through the Gegharkunik, Tavush, Lori, and Aragatsotn regions. The field includes 16 teams, such as Italian Pro Tour squads Bardiani CSF and Solution Tech Nippo Rali, as well as Continental teams like Netcompany Ineos Racing Academy (UK), Lidl-Trek Future Racing (Germany), and the local ARM Cycling Club. Olympic gold medalist Samuel Sánchez serves as the event ambassador.

In preparation for the race, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced temporary traffic restrictions on various highways and roads across the Gegharkunik, Tavush, and Lori regions to ensure safety and meet international standards.
